Cal Fit Perks You Should Know About, From a Stay-at-Home-Mom

Calling all Stay At Home Moms: As most of you know, when the sacrifice is made to become a stay at home mom, this has a huge impact on the household budget among many other things. Although it’s worth every single penny you sacrifice not being a double income family (in one of the most expensive “cost of living” states in the country), this decision impacts the leisure, recreation and fun money buckets in your monthly finances.  Read on for some great Cal Fit perks that's bound to make you feel great.

Soccer leagues for kids and adults: Did you know that the Rocklin Sports Complex actually hosts soccer leagues, camps and rec teams for both kids and adults? Coordinating your workout with your kiddos extracurriculars have never been easier. Plus, when games/practices are not in session, you can borrow a soccer ball from the front desk and the kids can kick the ball around their indoor fields. This is especially great on rainy or cold days when the park is not ideal.

blog-post_sunrise-rockwalllClimbing walls: Completely free of charge for both kids and adults. Now, I know when I walk through the gym I see amazing empty climbing walls. Empty! There is a hotel in Reno, NV that charges $50/day to climb on their climbing walls. No joke. This is a FREE resource and it’s a phenomenal family activity as well as cross training for that active recovery day.

Kidz Klub/Parent’s Night Out: If you have little ones you’re probably familiar with the Kidz Klub, however, absolutely make sure you are familiar with the Parent’s Night Out! I am so amazed at how great of a job the Kidz Klub staff does with their Parent’s Night Out. Okay, this one isn’t a freebie, but definitely worth hearing about because it’s a smokin’ deal. Its affordable with 1 child, but a steal if you have 2, 3 or 4 kiddos because the additional children are at a discounted rate. My 3 kids for 4 hours of childcare (food provided and they play active games the entire time) costs $40. For Parents Night Out, I am not required to stay at the gym. That is a service they provide every so often to allow parents a night to themselves at an affordable price. Plus, I absolutely love the staff.  Cal Fit does an amazing job hiring positive, upbeat and caring childcare employees.

Hydro Massage: Yes, this has an additional charge HOWEVER, if you’re doing it right, you earn rewards points every time you scan your card to enter the gym, check in via social media outlets, etc. which earns credit towards FREE HydroMassages. Moms, this is a must. Free yourself from the stresses of, well everything so you can clear your mind and start fresh.

blog-post_pirate-partyCal Fit Rewards: Just sign up, it’s free and you get free stuff that you would actually use, including free apparel from the ProShop.

Zumba: Meet other Moms and like-minded individuals while you dance off the baby weight you’ve been meaning to tend to for the last two years. As a Mom, I can’t remember the last time I went dancing, so Zumba gives you that, while your sweet littles are nestled away in childcare cutting and pasting their hearts out (and you don’t have to pick paper scraps off your floor for two days as a result).  Win-win.
