Our cooking classes integrate hands-on learning with play. Your children will learn what healthy foods are and even get to taste some of the foods we discover. When your kids leave our Healthy Habits class they will leave with new knowledge about the foods they eat, create a fun craft, and having tried some new healthy foods.
Love is in the air!
This month, our Healthy Habits participants are learning about chocolate!
This delicious and sweet treat actually has some great health benefits – just in time for Valentine’s Day! Benefits include preventing the decline of memory, being an antioxidant-rich superfood, and helping to improve heart health.
Our February curriculum includes our mini members learning about the different types of chocolate and where it comes from. We will incorporate numbers and letters, learning different words starting with the letter “B” for banana (for example) and counting how many pieces of chocolate we need for our fun activity. The activity is completely hands- putting our mini member’s knowledge to work!
Lastly, the children will create Valentine’s Day crafts to take home and as a special treat, the class will make yummy and healthy chocolate dipped bananas for their parents to enjoy.
Fees this month are $5. Spaces are limited, please RSVP at the front desk.
