Looking for a purrrrrfect way to spend an afternoon? California Family Fitness is thrilled to partner with Sacramento SPCA to bring you Kitten Yoga! We're bringing together two of our favorite things, animals and yoga, to raise awareness and funds for homeless animals in our city. In 2019, our Kitten Yoga classes helped to supply the SPCA with donations of kitten supplies and raised over $3,000 for animals in need. Best of all, ten little kitties found new homes!
Kitten Yoga classes are a favorite with our members and friends. We are looking forward to offering these delightful events monthly from March to August at various Cal Fit locations. Can we just say that there's nothing quite like stretching into cat pose with a fluffy kitten at your side? Or how about going into downward dog with a kitty cat pawing at your Lululemons? Kittens definitely keep things lively when they join you for shavasana! We welcome both members and non-members to participate.
Along with very 'grammable photo ops, joining us for Kitten Yoga gives you the opportunity to meet adoptable kittens. A portion of your registration fee is donated to Sacramento SPCA, so even if you can't bring home a kitten, you can ensure they are well cared for until they find their fur-ever homes.
You can choose to "paws" your day to play with kittens during Gentle Yoga or Family Yoga classes. Gentle Yoga is a 1 hour class. Family Yoga is a 30 minute class, and children of all ages are welcome. All Kitten Yoga classes include 30 minutes of playtime with feline visitors both before and after yoga practice.
Upcoming Kitten Yoga classes to add to your calendar are listed below.
Date: Saturday, March 28th
Location: California Family Fitness - Arden: 6314 Fair Oaks Blvd., Sacramento
Cost: $29 (a portion of each fee is donated to the Sacramento SPCA)
You'll have 30 minutes before and after each class to spend time meeting and playing with kittens. Kittens will be able to explore the room during yoga class. Please note that while you can begin the adoption process at this event, you won't be bringing your new pet home that day.
