What Doesn't Kill You, Makes You Stronger

3 Reasons Why Chris at Rocklin has an amazing Body Fit class:

1. It is never easy, nor anything less than extremely challenging. 

He will push you to get better, stronger, more fit. That’s what he does. It’s not easy, but it is extremely effective in achieving your fitness goals. You don’t think about what the next circuit will be or even if there is one, you just have to focus on getting through the current moment because you need all your mental strength for this class.

2. Lifting style:

This is why I really respect Chris as a Body Fit coach, not only does he make you lift free weights, he focuses on proper weight lifting technique.  It’s really good to see such a focus on proper lifting and making sure each member is using the right weight with proper form.  He will tell you approximately what weight you should be lifting but ensures you are doing it correctly.  He’s also pretty good at remembering what weight you were lifting last time you were in to push you to the next level. If you need help with technique, he coaches you while the others get on with their lifting. This class teaches really great skills that will be of long-term benefit for your physical health and fitness.

3. Cardio:

His cardio is very creative. On top of the circuit training that incorporates weights, and plyometrics into his workout, he also has a few other creative cardio workouts that he enjoys from rowing relays to hill sprints with a downhill walking lunge recovery, this is the closest class I’ve seen to “CrossFit” of the Body Fit classes.  But again, I stress that he differs in that he really focuses on good lifting form while doing these high intensity workouts and not on keeping score.  This class will not leave you feeling like you didn’t get your cardio in, however, rarely would he actually have his class simply run…

I strongly recommend Chris’ Body Fit Class to anyone who really wants to take it to the next level, who wants work hard and see the benefits.  Chris’ class will get you fit and you will take a lot of knowledge away from it as well.
