You’d think you hit the health and fitness jackpot right? You might even think it sounded too good to be true...but you’d be wrong.
There is such a diet, and it’s called clean eating. Clean eating isn’t so much a “diet” with a prescribed list of yes foods and no foods, rather, it is a concept that revolves around eating foods that are as close to their natural state as possible.
What does a clean diet consist of?
Examples of foods that are natural and clean would include lean meats and eggs, fruits and veggies, whole grains, and delicious healthy fats like avocado and nuts. People who can tolerate dairy products also incorporate low fat dairy products into their clean eating lifestyle and see weight loss benefits health gains from those as well.
Why should you clean eat?
The advantage to our bodies when we eat clean, minimally processed meals, is that these foods have not been chemically altered, filled with sugars, laden with fats, or fried into oblivion. Our bodies naturally know exactly how to process what it finds, and can easily break it down for use as energy, hormone synthesis, and other vital internal bodily functions.
Eating clean means a full belly
What people tend to find when they eat all this clean food, is that it doesn’t have as many calories as processed food, but it fills you up just as much, if not more. One of the benefits of clean eating is that you are never left hungry.
Eat clean to burn more fat
Get ready to burn fat too! Your metabolism gets revved into super drive because you are always feeding the fire. Clean eating creates an internal fat burning combustion system that burns fat for energy instead of storing it in all the places you don’t want it to be.
Making the change to clean eating
The trick to maximizing the benefits of eating clean is to slowly incorporate more and more clean foods into your diet, gradually phasing out the processed foods over time. Eventually what you end up with is a diet that consists of totally clean and natural foods that are as close to their whole and unaltered state as possible. These are the foods that give your body the most benefit for exercise, weight loss, muscle gains, and energy.
